This week is flying by. It must be time for a little recap of the goings on…
I didn’t make it out to the mountains to shoot photos on Tuesday. I had so many phone calls, e-mails and orders pop up in the morning, that by the time I could finally head out it was too late. I’ll try to get to it next week.
You’ll also notice a lack of new images on the blog. In anticipation of the new blog launch, I’m holding back on posting image too many images until then. The new blog will allow for super-sized images, and I want to have plenty to post when it’s launched.
Tomorrow (Friday) I’ll be heading out for lunch again, and all photographers are invited to join me. This Friday photographer lunch thing is turning into a habit, and I think it’s a very good thing to keep up. I’ve met some wonderful new photographers in the San Diego area, and I’d like for that to continue. I’m thinking I’ll do another simple lunch in the Mission Valley area. (It’s a central location for everyone). Let’s do OGGI’s pizza and Brewing company (in the IKEA center) at 12:30. As always, send me an e-mail if you think you can make it. If anyone’s up for coffee afterwards, I could be persuaded into doing that as well.
As I’m writing this, there’s a man ripping apart the walls around my bedroom window. We’ve discovered a small leak during the recent rain storms, and the walls need to be opened up and dried out. I’ll post pictures of the holy-ness soon.
Yesterday I headed up to Harrah’s Rincon Casino in Valley center to meet up with my friend Becker. He made the final table of a World Series of Poker circuit event, and I wanted to lend some support. We’re both huge poker fans, and when he made the final table of the tourney, I had to go cheer him on. He finished 7th, but payed very well, only being knocked out by trip 9’s while holding pocket 10’s. Jessica and I spent most of our time lurking over the heads of the players, and holding our breath with every all-in.
Here’s a shot of Becker taken with my iPhone with him raking in an early all-in win:

After the final table we all played 1 table sit-and-go’s for a little while. Jess was the only one who cashed, with Becker and myself running out of luck.
A quick note my fellow photographers: Don’t forget that your California Sales and Use tax is due TODAY!!
Send in those e-mails if you want to join me for lunch, and have a great Thursday everyone. Happy almost February!
