Yesterday morning my sister in law, Tara, gave birth to her 2nd daughter, Denise! I was exited to visit today to get a look at her, and of course to take a few pictures. I shot a BUNCH of photographs over the few hours we were there, so get ready for a long post.
First off, she absolutely GORGEOUS! She doesn’t have any of the normal blue-colored, super wrinkly characteristics you see with a one-day-old baby. She has beautiful color, is super quiet, and I had so much fun holding her.
Here are the vital statistics:
Name - Denise Leonora Panarella
Birth Date - November 22, 2006
Time - 4:41am
Weight - 9 lbs, 4oz (Yes, you read that correctly!)
Length - 21.5″
Likes - Sleeping, eating
Dislikes - Being awake, not eating
And here are a few shots of the beautiful girl…

Such tiny perfect little hands!

A couple shots of Jen holding her. I really love the first one - the big bright hospital room, with Jen and Denise huddled up in the dark corner with a little bit light coming through the crack in the window.

And I just think this one is cute!

I put the camera down for awhile to hold her, so Jen took a quick shot of us. I wish I would have taken the time to Photoshop some hair onto my head!

This picture was taken while we were leaving the hospital. The flag was beautiful with the light shining through the back of it. It made me feel a little patriotic, and a little thankful. It’s Thanksgiving, and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the day than with a new addition to our family.

On a side note I’d like to give thanks for my wonderful wife Jen, my awesome parents Mike and Karon, all of my long-time close friends, the ability to do what I love for a living, and the health and success of all of us. I’m also thankful to all of you who stop by to read my blog!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and I think it’s now officially ok to say “Happy Holidays!” That must mean my birthday is quickly approaching… =)
